UMC Retirees

Effective January 1, 2017, UMC Associates will be eligible for UMC Retiree Benefits. Below you will find important information on the benefit program. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us at 915-532-3778 or toll-free at 1-877-532-3778.

Qualifications
To qualify, UMC Associates must meet the following:
  • 20 years of service at either UMC (hospital/clinics), El Paso First Health Plans or UMC Foundation.
  • Eligible for retirement according to Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS) rules.
  • Full time or part time associates who retire must have been covered under the UMC medical benefit plan for 5 continuous years and currently be participating with Preferred Administrators at time of retirement.
  • Retirees will be able to enroll their eligible Spouse and Dependents.
  • Retirees will only be offered this benefit up to when the Retiree reaches the age of 65 or starts receiving Medicare.
